pet memorialsThis is our sweet boy, Tugg. We named him that because when first saw him at our local Humane Society when he was only about 8 weeks old, he "tugged" at our hearts, thus his name! He was our faithful companion and friend for 17 years. He passed from this life, peacefully in his sleep, on Thursday, April 24th, 2008. He was the best dog anyone could ever know. I don't say own, because you shouldn't own your pet, they should be a member of your family just like your kids. We weren't blessed with children, so our pets are our kids, and were spoiled and disciplined with love. Our first "child," Buddy, was with us for 15 years, but at the end he was in a lot of pain, and we didn't want him to suffer, so we made the most difficult decision we ever had to make, and put him to sleep. That was in 1993. We had adopted Tugg 2 years before, when he was only about 8 weeks old, because we knew Buddy was not well, and having Tugg to love made Buddy's loss not quite as painful. And he was well loved! I miss him so much, it's like a hole has been ripped in my heart. I miss him when we go out, to send us off to work or other places, patrolling around the yard like he was some super watchdog, which he wasn't. He would probably invite a burglar in and show him where the silver and jewelry was. I miss him when we come home, standing inside the fence in corner where he could see us coming down the street, and then coming over to be petted and loved. I miss him when we let him in for the night looking for a treat before he would lie down on his bed. We laid him to rest down on the farm of a good friend, who had also lost faithful friends. We can't wait till we can see him and Buddy, and Benny the cat, at the Rainbow Bridge Love, Marcia Kubick
