Beau exceeded expectations in every way: in his longevity, his persistence through illness, and the joy he brought with his happy little smile. I was fortunate to be his companion for 16 1/2 years. He made me smile every day, kept me grounded, and helped me to become a better person. He will be greatly missed.
|TO THE PARK AND BACK
Each day we would walk in the sun and the rain To the park down the corner and back again, Beneath the stars and the full brimming moon In darkest December, in hot sunny June You dressed in your collar, grin on your face Me following fast, trying to keep a pace I saw the leaves grow red and felt the cool breeze And walking with you friend gave me all of these At the time our trips seemed such a chore And now I wish we could have just one more.
